Upgrade Your Business with “D-Biz”

Following the Anti-epidemic Fund in February, the government announced a new round of measures. The “Remote Business Scheme” (D-Biz) is a HK$500 million, 6-month fast-track, fully funded project designed to help businesses leverage innovation and technology to expand remote operations during the pandemic, creating new value, new capabilities, and new opportunities, turning crisis into opportunity.

Application qualifications

- All private enterprises (excluding publicly listed companies, statutory bodies, and non-governmental organizations receiving public funding) are eligible to apply if they hold a valid business registration certificate, were already in operation before January 1, 2020, and are still having substantial business operations in the industry related to the application project at the time of application.

- Each company can only submit one application. Related companies (i.e., companies that are different legal entities but are owned by the same person with 30% or more ownership) will be regarded as the same company.

- When submitting an application, applicants must indicate in the application form whether any relevant organization has applied for or received funding from the program.

Precautions

- Each service must have at least two quotes, except for subscription-based services.

- Start within one month of signing the contract, and complete within six months.

- Upon approval of the application, the company will receive 30% of the funding amount. The remaining funding amount will be disbursed once the project is completed and the supporting documentation is accepted.
