Recently, Yonyou Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT), a member institution of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the VTC Digital Innovation Co-creation Centre. The two parties have agreed to engage in deep collaboration centred on IT talent development, vocational education innovation, and the coordinated growth of IT talent across the Greater Bay Area, thereby establishing a new industry-education integration model that supports the digital economy development of Hong Kong.

At the ceremony, Dr. Hui Yam-keung, Principal of HKIIT, delivered a welcome address, in which he stated that the Institute has long been committed to information technology vocational education, with a dedicated focus on cultivating professionals to meet industry demands. He noted that this collaboration introduces enterprise-level digital practice resources, thereby aligning teaching with cutting-edge technologies and enhancing the quality of talent development.

Dr. Li Hao, Managing Director of Yonyou Software (Hong Kong) Limited, remarked in his address that Yonyou Hong Kong places great emphasis on building a robust local talent ecosystem, given the sustained growth in Hong Kong’s demand for IT professionals. This partnership constitutes a significant initiative aimed at deepening industry-education integration, with the objective of establishing an end-to-end talent cultivation pipeline encompassing “instruction, hands-on training, and employment,” thereby supplying versatile, practice-ready professionals to both Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Looking ahead, the two parties will also pursue comprehensive collaboration in areas including the popularisation and application of enterprise AI, joint curriculum development, and coordinated market activities.

Subsequently, Dr. Fu Tak-chung, Deputy Principal of HKIIT, and Mr. Cai Weizhao, Marketing Director of Yonyou Software (Hong Kong) Limited, jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Under the consensus established by the cooperation agreement, the two parties will focus on advancing the following key initiatives: Yonyou Hong Kong will provide HKIIT faculty and students with access to enterprise-level digital platform resources, offer customised training programmes, jointly conduct industry seminars and collaborative research projects, and provide internship opportunities for students, thereby creating an integrated talent cultivation loop encompassing “instruction, hands-on training, and employment.” At the same time, leveraging the respective strengths of both parties, they will promote IT talent mobility, technology sharing, and resource connectivity between Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, working collectively to build a regional hub for digital talent.

This collaboration facilitates the precise alignment of education with industry needs, offers a new pathway for cultivating digital and intelligent talent for enterprises, and lays a solid foundation for the two parties to further deepen industry-education integration and expand the scope of their cooperation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of Hong Kong’s digital economy.
